As Director, Regional Sales – Western Region, you will have the responsibility for managing and developing customer relationships to achieve sales targets including new business development from key prospects within the assigned region. This includes working closely with Marketing, Accounting, Service and Corporate staff to jointly represent the company’s products to clients and expedite customer orders. This also includes overseeing game sales recurring revenue objectives and coordinating product installation and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales and installation processes.

Success in this role is measured in terms of your ability to successfully manage your team and business within the assigned region.  Key metrics are:

  • Activity – The number of customer activities that take place (meetings, phone calls, etc.) and are accurately logged within Salesforce. It is the Sales Directors responsibility to ensure the team is productive and hold each team member accountable.
  • Salesforce Opportunity Pipeline – The number and volume of opportunities in the pipeline as well as the accuracy of the opportunities. A healthy pipeline is important to show future results to ensure we are achieving our revenue goals.  An accurate pipeline is a priority metric in measuring performance and a key function of the Sales Directors role is to coach, guide and support pipeline input and management to ensure strong and accurate forecasting.
  • Results – Achieving revenue, profit, and margin goals. Ability to push each team member to achieve and exceed their goals.
  • Coaching and Developing – The ability to work directly with the team on coaching and developing talent so they succeed in the organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Leads the sales and support staff for the region to meet revenue and profit goals
  • Makes final decisions on sales deals within established guidelines
  • Directs staffing, training, and performance management in accordance with company standards and policies
  • Meets regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions
  • Monitors market trends and competitive activity, in conjunction with Marketing, and recommends and implements sales programs and promotional activities
  • Establishes sales objectives by creating sales plan and quota for districts in support of regional objectives
  • Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and /or products and tracking competitors
  • Develops new business opportunities and builds relationships with key customers
  • Assists account executives with organizational skills, account strategies, territory planning and administrative responsibilities to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Facilitates weekly reporting of team’s sales forecasting
  • Acts as a resource to sales representatives in contract opportunities, proposals. Assists with contract negotiations, closing sales and developing marketing plans for contract accounts
  • Maintains expertise of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers. Monitors competitive activity
  • Conducts presentations and meetings with key customers
  • Troubleshoots problems regarding products provided. Answers questions from sales account executives and handles complaints
  • Interfaces cross functionally to meet business objectives and solve problems
  • Maintains up to date customer information
  • Identifies and implements training programs to develop and enhance team’s product knowledge
  • Proactively communicates business risks and field issues to internal management
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Aruze Gaming America, Inc.’s policies and applicable laws
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

            EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field or equivalent        

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of sales and territory team management experience required
  • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Willingness to travel (overnight travel by car and air required)

Must be comfortable working in an open work environment with limited ‘private office’ working space for extended periods. Prolonged periods of sitting, leaning, and bending. Extreme repetitive motion using keyboard, mouse, and telephone.  Position can be high stress and extremely fast paced.  Ability to handle directive, assess situations, enter into dialogue, and complete tasks.  Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English.
